I feel like I would’ve chosen Jon’s decision in MAG 200 over the Web’s plan. I’ve tried articulating this in this post, but it’s hard to say why. It just seems…more sure. Cleaner, almost. Obviously, the world dies. But so do the Fears. And it has less unknowns than making them spread. If they spread, they hurt and kill countless people and maybe end more worlds. Not that it’s right. I don’t think there is really a right or wrong answer here.

This feels like a hot take somehow. I wonder if it’s the minority opinion in the fandom?
