Recently I wrote down all my favorite TMA episodes and sorted them by entity. I was intrigued by the fact that the top entity was the Flesh. This is not my alignment in any way.

However, I don’t like horror movies when they have gore and graphic violence-type things, which would fall into the Flesh (and Slaughter I suppose). So I was confused until I realized—that actually makes perfect sense. I’m fine hearing about graphic stuff, ‘fine’ meaning not excessively disturbed. I’m not going to keep seeing it in my head days later because I never actually saw it. It is, though, still scary. It does leave an impact on me, just in a more manageable way.

So, basically, many of my top TMA episodes are Flesh-aligned because hearing about graphic things is just scary enough to be good-scary. I remember it, but I’m not disturbed by it. And that’s how it makes the list. (Which is why Binary isn’t on the list: it’s too much; it’s the one where Jonny reached directly into my psyche.)
