Edit: it appears that it’s a reflex to startle/jump at a loud sound. Does this help, that it’s a reflex?

I feel like we need more info on this. Does she have a fight-or-flight response? Like, what does she do in acute stress (the other name for fight-or-flight is acute stress reaction)?
