I’m bummed Jon and Basira never got to be friends because Basira actually thought Jon was funny. Imagine how happy Jon would be to hear that. Even Martin didn’t think he was funny until Jon figured out what humor he likes. But Basira likes his humor.

Now that I think of it, so does Daisy. Her attempt at humor (joking deadpan that she was going to kill someone) kind of hit too close to home for Jon, but still. It’s deadpan humor. Jon makes a joke about the worst thing about her job as a cop being the police brutality, and Daisy actually laughs.
