I do love the idea of Jon calling in sick during his heat. At no point did he consider why an email would have been better, he just doesn’t want to seem unprofessional by not calling in.

Elias answering the phone and asking him what’s wrong, only for Jon’s subvocals to start up the most petulant whining tirade against Elias for not being there, why won’t he hold him, Jon is good, he can be so good, please dad, please don’t make him stay alone it hurts it hurts so much. Just the most babyish whiny omega subvocals ever heard.

Jon just frozen through this whole thing, praying that he burst into flames or something. As soon as his solo vocals finally quiet down the silence on the line is just so awkward on Jon’s side.

Elias telling him that he will let his team know he’s going to be out and Jon hanging up as his subvocals start to get a second wind shoving his face in his nest and screaming.

Elias is considering if he could justify showing up at his Archivist’s house, in a purely professional scope of course, for Jon’s health.
