stupid jonelias thought. kink being referenced
jon goes to a munch for the first time while he’s working at the Magnus Institute. as is not horrifically uncommon, since he’s going to a local event, he’s worried he’ll see some of his coworkers there. what if they are? what if it gets back to elias? he thinks he’d die of shame a little bit if his boss (who he looks up to and admires!) knew he wasn’t vanilla.
elias sees this in Jon’s thoughts. and decides that he is suddenly very interested in integrating himself into the London kink scene
theyre making eye contact at the petplay munch and jon is feeling horrified and awkward while elias is smiling pleasantly. they make conversation and jon asks, very awkwardly, what brings elias here. “oh, I’ve always wanted a pet,” he says, as though it’s wholly inconsequential. “perhaps a loyal pup, though i can’t deny that cats have their charm too. what about you, jon?”
and jon, who relates very much to both dogs and cats, in different ways, just freezes up. “just curious,” he says, in a slightly strangled voice, before very, very promptly making his excuses to go talk to somebody else.
