Jon views their relationship as father and son with him having horrible awful feelings about it, God what’s wrong with him, and Elias as a horrible parent he never should’ve gotten attached to or convinced himself he could have. Elias views himself as a cruel but loving creator to his beautiful son, his greatest creation, wonderful and incredible and molded by his own tender hands, just for him.
