I think there are a lot of kinks jon thinks he invented and that he is the only one who’s ever got off to them and that he is a uniquely broken person for liking them, and then he gets the nerve to research and they’re actually extremely common. This has happened many many times over his life. He never learns.
He thinks he is the only person who has ever sexualized the idea of being a dog or found relationships in fiction thatre like a dog and their master to be hot as fuck. Then he looks it up finally and is HUH. WHAT. Anyways I think jon read a book where a character was called someone’s lapdog when he was first starting to experience some Things and he has never been the same
I think he’s aware kinks can form out of trauma. But I also think he’s very bad at telling when that’s what’s happening to him. Like he could understand someone with trauma having a rape kink but he doesn’t know why HE’D have a rape kink (trauma) (it’s the trauma) and also I think he blatantly misunderstands what trauma causing kinks actually looks like. Thinks just oh this horrible thing happened to you so now you want it to happen again but Sexy for some reason. Weird but he really doesn’t need to hear anymore and would really prefer he didn’t.
