Look I just think if Jon and AU Jon who is Elias’s kid meet Jon should make some comment about it being very obvious who raised him. AU Jon should be very not normal about this.
Canon Jon seeing a dark reflection of what he could have been had he just been less attached to his humanity, and finding both horror and envy at the thought. Saying in horrified fascination what he’s thinking while wishing there was some way he could both help his other self see the terror in his situation and have even a fraction of what he has in his certainty regarding Elias.
“You just remind me so much of him, easy enough to tell who raised you.”
Au Jon hearing he’s like his dad, the person he looks up to, the most important person to him. He doesn’t pay attention to the horror in his other self’s voice, only to the envy. He only cares that Elias left a mark on him, that he’s special, and so he takes it as a compliment, and also a bit of an admission that his other self wants something like that too. So of course he’s not thinking of how fucked up his next words are to his reflection.
“Well yes, I should hope so. Do you think your Elias left an impression on you too?
