kind of want to think of a polycule involving Jon and Jonah and someone else but I fear I would focus too much on the jonelias of it all. they are with the other partner and thinking of each other. which could in theory be interesting but I would also feel bad :(
is anyone interested in the polycule candidates? some would get more attention from Jon and Jonah, some less. depends on how much I like them
Of course we are my liege. Also idk if you’ve thought of her but, Jane Prentiss. I think thats a fascinating dynamic there and you just CANNOT ignore her.
Generally with JE+1 I feel like they need a third who like. Is focused on their thing and doesn’t necessarily need attention 24/7 and doesn’t get jealous because they just like hanging out I guess. So Basira could work. Or Michael Distortion.
Or, add in 1 or 2 extra people to the polycule so nobody gets bored
Jane is interesting in identity horror kind of way and also Jon’s own interest in Corruption (the patreon exclusive notes on the statement, god, they make me unwell). but I have no interest in shipping her with anyone
Michael Distortion is so fun! especially if you lean into Eye/Spiral of it all and with Jonah heavily disliking him lol
I haven’t considered Basira! but it’s fun! and she did say something about Jon not being a bad company outside of his paranoia. so win is a win
my personal favourite candidate is Daisy post coffin. it’s hinge polyamory, previous jonelias influencing jondaisy (Jon being haunted by the ghost of his mentor maker murderer) and then jondaisy influencing jonelias (Jon being haunted by the ghost of the woman who was so close to dying human yet gave it up to protect her loved ones, her monstrous nature being the last act of humanity). Daisy is also my third favourite character by virtue of my cool mutual @rosalineandrosemary loving her

the way they both haunt jon, their absence just as significant as their presence. elias am i still human / is it awful that i wish she had recognized me.
he couldn’t be the one to kill daisy but the wounds she left still scarred. he had to be the one to kill jonah.
daisy tries desperately to die as a human and yet her humanity forces her to die a monster. jonah tries desperately to escape death, to let monstrosity carry him into immortality, and yet he meets the fate of a human. jon caught perpetually in the middle between them.
