Jon, Gerry, Gertrude fucked up family dynamic is so good and I wish I could articulate more. She should be so strict and unkind at times, but her very rare praise makes Jon practically melt, and Gerry preen like she’s the smartest girl. I need Gertrude to see two broken people and decide to use them. They’re both already in this world anyway, she can’t afford to be sentimental no matter how she feels about her kids.

I think she takes Gerry out on missions more than Jon, she can take care of herself, Jon’s strengths lie in other areas. I think whenever Gertrude is out Elias should strike up a relationship with Jon. Poor thing is so lonely without his sister and mum.
