helllloooo it's @incessant-visions . baffling au thought but I had to exercise it somehow

transmasc Jon at all girls school. perhaps it is even Christian. Elias could be one of his teachers, but like. he's the cool teacher that everyone thinks is probably gay and who is DEFINITELY not christian. the teacher you have a cry to about shit and then get to sit out of class. Jon has a massive puppy crush on him, goes to sixth form there solely because he wants to stay around Elias. and well. I do not think Elias is entirely ignorant

anyway that's the whole thought. whatever. I don't know where my brain was going with this

Okay I’ve been turning this in my head here this is what I’ve got hope you enjoy this mess, I lost the prompt at times, but I am me so it was expected. Also love Elias knowing the whole time just waiting to see if Jon says anything. Why is he teaching? Who knows maybe he decided he needed to get his Archivist another way, or something I’m not here for logistics, I’m here for the implications. Also Elias being Jon’s only support is my jam and I will never not love it.

“Shouldn’t you be out there celebrating with your…classmates?” Jon didn’t bother to look up from his book, as Mr. Bouchard spoke. Jon had gotten used to spending most of his time not in class in his classroom, sometimes he even skipped other classes, and he would be allowed to sit in his office and work on homework. Even if classes were almost done going anywhere near his fellows was not something he planned on doing.

Jon didn’t have many friends, or any friends his age at all at his school. He was the weird kid, even before he had realized that well, he wasn’t actually a girl. Not that he had told any of his classmates, he did not want it getting back to his grandmother. No, he had planned to simply not tell anyone until he had graduated and moved to anywhere that wasn’t here.

Well at least he hadn’t planned to tell anyone until Mr. Bouchard, had caught him crying. He hadn’t meant to tell him anything but well, somehow he had ended up confessing everything. Part of him had expected to be reported, or worse, that his grandmother would be notified. Only instead he had understood, asked him what he actually wanted to be called. Offered him a safe place to hide, for the last year and a half of school. This of course had done nothing to tamp down the tiny crush he had been hiding, and getting to know him had only stoked it further. Of course he didn’t share that fact, he didn’t want to be laughed at.

“I think I’m fine right here, thank you Mr. Bouchard,” He could see the shadow of his teacher on the pages, standing in front of his desk. He could picture the slightly exasperated look he sometimes got when he thought Jon was being stubborn about something. Slightly exasperated was probably the nicest reaction Jon ever received to his innate stubbornness, others took far more offense.

“I think as term is over and you have somehow managed to pass you classes, despite only attending a handful,” Jon couldn’t help but giggle at the dry tone, Elias sense of humor had always amused him. As he went to turn the page but found the book sliding out of his hands pulled away and set aside. Jon went to protest but froze as Elias put a firm hand on his shoulder squeezing it gently, making him look up. His teacher was closer than he had thought, barely a step away, it made his breath hitch. “I am no longer your teacher and you can call me Elias, Jonathan.”

“O-okay,” Jon was relieved his voice didn’t squeak even higher than it already was. Jon was never sure if Mr. Bou-Elias had ever picked up on his feelings, he had did his best to hide them, but well Elias was very observant. The type of teacher where you didn’t even think about cheating because he would know. “Y-you can call me Jon then, if you want I mean.”

“Of course Jon,” Elias let go of his shoulder and Jon didn’t know whether to be grateful for that fact or not. Jon already spent way to much time thinking about his, now former teacher in inappropriate ways, his brain did not need the encouragement of simple friendly touches. “Excited to be out of this place?”

“I suppose,” Jon was happy to be leaving for the most part, except he would no longer see Elias. Which he did know that would be a ridiculous reason to stay, he had already stayed an extra year because well Elias made him feel safe, and that had been pushing it. It had made sense a little bit, he already knew who to avoid, better than transferring for just a year before University. “I’m just…I don’t know a bit scared?”

“Change is often frightening,” Elias hummed in agreement his hand twitching toward Jon as though he was going to maybe touch Jon, before quickly returning to his side. Jon pushed the thoughts that conjured out of his mind quickly. He was saved from further awkwardness by the chime signaling then end of the day. Still Jon hesitated to gather his things and leave, he would probably not see Elias again, at least one on one like this.

“I should go,” Jon did not make any move to act on those words. His thoughts were swirling, Elias had said himself that he wasn’t his teacher anymore, so Jon could say something. He bit his lip, what if Elias laughed at him though, or worse? Jon hated not knowing how people would react, but Jon had no reference to how he would react to his former student, by less than a few minutes, confessing something. So Jon pushed the instinct down, finally grabbing his book, and going to stand, only to almost bump into Elias with how close he was standing, now between him and the door, saved from falling by Elias grabbing his shoulder again.

“My apologies Jon,” Elias didn’t seem all that sorry, but maybe Jon just wasn’t reading him right. He let Jon go after a few seconds pause that seemed like an eternity to him. Only instead of his hand returning to his side it instead rose to Jon’s cheek to tilt his face up slightly. It was the only warning he had before Elias pressed his lips to his. Jon stepped back in surprise, bumping into the desk behind him, blocking any sort of retreat, as he pulled his mouth away.

Part of Jon knew this was wrong, even on the technicality that the year was over. Even if Jon was an adult by most standards now, and even if Jon had imagined this, and other very similar scenarios for the last year and a half. Jon’s mind was racing, his mouth opened and closed feeling warm from where Elias’s lips had been a moment before. It didn’t help that a large chunk of his brain was currently taking a victory lap, at the thought that someone actually wanted him, ignoring any and all elephants in the room.

“Sorry did I startle you, this is what you wanted was it not?” Jon could hear amusement in Elias’s voice as he leaned close, breath ghosting against his ear. The feeling made Jon shiver letting out the tiniest embarrassed squeak as Elias’s arm curled around his waist. If Jon couldn’t think of what to say before the feeling of lips against his neck were not helping with his ability to vocalize anything other than tiny gasps. After a few moments Elias pulled away again, leaving him gasping, trying to grab a coherent thought. “Or perhaps I was wrong.”

Elias stepped back releasing him completely stepping out of the way, so he no longer blocked Jon’s escape. The implication was for once quite clear to Jon. Sure Jon’s legs were currently doing their best impression of jello, but he could technically leave if he wanted to. Only did he want to? He should, this was wrong, only hadn’t this been what he wanted? Why he had stayed?

“Well?” Elias asked, clearly expecting Jon to say something, even if Jon couldn’t seem to get his tongue to properly cooperate, a slight frown on his face. Jon supposed fleeing now would be an answer, even if the thought of doing so made him feel wrong. Did he want to flee? He should, leave right now to start the rest of his life and forget this ever happened. Steeling himself he carefully set the book he was somehow still holding aside, using the action to gather his thoughts. considering it may be his last chance to stop this whole thing before it starts, that he should stop it. Only Jon was so very bad at doing what he should do according to everyone who had ever met him.

“Y-you weren’t wrong,” Jon tried to keep his voice level wincing at the trembling quality, but really he should just be happy he had managed a full sentence in his current state. Elias’s frown smoothed away into a pleased smile, and Jon felt a little flutter in his heart at the thought that he had pleased Elias. As he was pinned against the desk once more Elias’s kiss much more heated this time, Jon let his eyes flutter shut, enjoying the feeling of finally being wanted.
