Yeah no one buys this, and honestly the fatality rate has gonna way down now that the slightly murderous ship AI seems to be distracted. So everyone just turns a blind eye to anything going on.
Jon secretly, okay not secretly at all everyone can tell, loving Elias’s attention, the cameras all turning to follow him. Jon constantly talking to him, confessing all his secrets, and his insecurities, look maybe a machine is the only one who actually understands him.
Jon touching himself in his bunk carefully in view of Elias’s mechanical eyes. He’s so embarrassed but Elias telling him it’s only fair. After all Jon gets to handle his delicate circuitry, and while he can’t physically touch Jon he can guide him verbally. Jon squirming as Elias calls him a good boy, so precious to him, how he almost wishes he still had a body just so he could take Jon apart properly. Jon comes harder than he ever has before at the thought.
Jon veryyy obviously being the computers favorite. They don’t even know why. He’s not even the one with the most clearance he’s just the only one the computer opens the hatches to its wiring for. They don’t even know how he can HAVE favorites still. Most people don’t tend to have light conversation with the consciousness, or go to have their lunch near the security cameras. But if that’s what it takes to keep them from getting murdered than quite frankly they are going to ignore it as much as possible. They don’t wanna know what they get up to.
Goddd. I think his connection with Elias is also very much a Tism thing. No eye contact no body language to read and he can at least understand Elias’ reasoning even if he’s fucked up as hell. After a while of learning about him, bonding with him although he’ll never admit it, he has a lot easier of a time predicting what Elias will do than his fellow crew mates. It’s less stressful, somehow. Easy repetitive task. Fix Elias wires, try not to think about the sounds. Try not to think about the little breath of relief. Elias telling him he’s doing excellent, thank you Jon. Elias sounding a tad bit strained. Go eat his lunch and pretend Elias doesn’t take a moment to sound normal again. Or sometimes he’ll take a little longer in his wiring, listening to Elias’ labored breathing. He can’t even breathe anymore. God imagining that one scene in scavengers reign. “This doesn’t feel good.” “Oh. Uh…how does it feel if I do this?” “You’re touching my processing unit.” “No, how does it feel.” “[Laboured breath] Good, I think.” I’m thinking about it. I’m being really normal about it. Jon also feels really normal about it.
Jon touching himself…Elias completely focused on him…ough. Jon humiliated but Elias wants to see him, and maybe he likes having all the attention. Maybe it’s nice when Elias wants to see how he’ll react if he does this or that. Maybe it’s nice to be observed so intensely, like he’s something incredible to be studied and admired and understood. Elias wishing he could touch hin?? Insane. Jons so normal about it. Can’t even imagine what he’d be like as a human but just the idea of Elias wanting him that bad is sending him into a frenzy. Being wanted by something cold and calculating does something to his brain. Elias’ praise and attention and fondness is more than enough to outweigh the humiliation when it just feels so good to be seen and studied and adored. Elias telling him to do this or that, getting so delighted when he listens just to please him, just to be praised. “You’d really do anything I asked you, wouldn’t you?” With almost wonder in his voice. Jon feels so exposed. It feels good. He didn’t know it could feel good.
Also I see your tags….goddd. Elias wanting to keep him refusing to let him die??? That’s his Jon. He can’t just die on him. Whether or not Jon wants to be a machine isn’t relevant. He refuses to lose him. Goddddd. Explodes. Gnaws on glass.
