Au where Jon is somehow gifted natural ‘immortality’ (not real, but his body has ceased to age and he won’t die unless killed) and also him and Jonah are married.
So when Jonah (who was not given such gifts) needs to body hop again he shows Jon the candidates to get their eyes scooped and replaced and he’s like ‘which one is the hottest, be honest. which one would you be ok being married to’ and Jon tries to as blunt as his husband wants him to be. But the truth is that all of them would be handsome if gifted with Jonah’s eyes, for they’re Jon’s favorite thing about any body he’s ever had.
And Jonah has absolutely no idea how to react with knowing the love of his life loves the only remaining part of his true body more than the body of any other man so he just rolls the eyes Jon loves so much and says ‘very helpful, Jon.’

Alternatively Jon sneaking into the panopticon while Elias is in a ‘very important meeting,’ which he can’t easily excuse himself. Elias about to stand to speak only to feel Jon’s mouth pressing against anatomy he no longer has, but the ghost sensations are still enough to have him staying behind his desk to keep his arousal hidden. There is no way for Elias to look into the panopticon but he hardly needs to see to feel what his Archivist is doing to his original body. So he has to do his best to ignore the slightly muted feeling of Jon’s tongue pressing inside holding back a moan as he tries to keep his pride.
Eventually once the meeting is over and Elias can go collect his Archivist he will certainly make him pay for that little stunt, no how much he may have enjoyed it.

Elias who smiles so wide his eyes water, looking into perfection, all he can muster is, “Perfect.”

Elias who’s very concerned with keeping his body as healthy as possible so he doesn’t have to body hop too often so he’s kinda a health freak and refuses to do anything as stupid and poisonous as smoking but he’s soooo obsessed with Jon and being around him and drinking up the paranoia and discomfort Jon feels around him so he likes being with him during his smoke breaks but refuses Jon’s offers like this
