I like it when Elias treats Jon like he’s sweet and helpless. So smart and talented but utterly helpless and needing him to take such good care of him. Yknow. Like “Aw, look at you. You really are a fast learner, arent you? What a good boy.” But also “Oh, poor baby. What are you doing out here on your own? Someone should be taking care of you.” I think that combined treatment kills him with hammers but yk. In a good way
Anyways a big facet of jgre to me should be they’re both possessive of jon in very different ways. Gertrude is possessive of him because she doesn’t want elias to have him. Elias is possessive of him because regardless of who else he loves jon is *his* boy first and foremost, and will always belong to him and no one else.
If I had a dollar for wverytime I started thinking about an au where jon had two weird morally ambigious parental figures who were having a borderline custody battle over him but it was a weird sex thing I’d have two dollars. Which isn’t much but it’s weird that it happened twice
