Jon being reminded of what he imagines having a father should be like during sex is always so fun because he’d be soooo guilty about it. Surely there is something seriously wrong with him. It’s like. I think Jonah would find the idea of being needed more than he needs them reassuring. I think the idea of being responsible for shaping someone appeals to him deeply for his own Issue related reasons. I think he might not have a daddy kink but his own Things slot very neatly into it. I think Jondistortion (Micheal or Helen) can and should have some weird and fun breeding mink nonsense. Are their biologies even compatible enough to get Jon pregnant? IS he pregnant? It’s unknown.
Jon who thinks he might be getting symptoms only they’re strange. Flickering. There and gone again. Every time he thinks about mentioning them or getting tested they’re gone only to come back again later. Seeing himself with a full, round stomach in mirrors when looking out of the corner of his eyes, his whole body distorted. Shadowy sensations of something moving inside his womb (but surely it’s much too early for that?). Only at night when he’s feeling anxious. Only when he’s alone. Is he imagining it? Did the distortion do this to him deliberately? Is he actually pregnant?
I think he should take a pregnancy test and it gives him two lines. Or zero. Or one and what might just be the faintest impression of a second lone but also might not be. And the Eye won’t answer his questions. The Distortion just laughs when he tentatively tries to ask.
