These are designs I did a few months ago on what the archives might have looked like from my opinion (it’s been debated … a lot) . I loved making those, they were meant as research for a project I’m afraid that’s never gonna see the light of day since my friends and I have a hard time planning work days.
For the building I basically researched on google maps the building types of London// I also got inspired by a building I forgot the name of that I saw in Montreal last year.
This is most likely the end of my set of posters on the Fears. The Vast and the Buried complement each other well, and I tried to bring that out here.
The Vast gives you freedom to roam with nothing in the way, but nowhere to go to. You could walk for miles and the land would be entirely indifferent, as if you hadn’t taken a single step. The Buried gives you the promise of the surface, a way out, so close yet so far, if only you could move. Endless nothing, or endless everything. Two entirely different hells.
oh we thought we killed a god and left it to rot but yeah. turns out that was basically just some guy or a vessel or whatever and the actual god was the rot itself. yeah im like super into decaying now. yeah the eternal rot. thats why im decomposing. get this though. the corpse of the god we killed? fresh as a patch of flowers
tma is a show which spends the first 100 episodes going “look at these monsters. aren’t they fucked up. yeah and they’re all so happy being monsters who hurt people monstrously” and then the protagonist who you’ve spent hours listening to at this point becomes one of those fucked up monsters, forcing you to either dismiss him as evil or you have to fully change how you view all the previous monsters. and then they spend the next 100 episodes dealing with that
I miss tma season one when Jon puts his whole archivussy into a statement and then ends it by saying “yeah lmao this probably didn’t happen. I asked Martin to look into it and he found nothing because he sucks and I hate him. Tim got me more information, probably because he’s such a fucking slut. Sasha was also very useful. I love Sasha because she’s so dependable and trustworthy. Nothing bad will ever happen to Sasha to make her less dependable or trustworthy.”
Being jurgen leitner the day that gerry almost killed him was probably really surreal. Imagine you’re minding your business, collecting fucked up books, and out of nowhere this goth guy covered in eye tattoos shows up and beats you half to death, then stops, goes, “no you’re too pathetic to be jurgen leitner” and leaves without further elaboration. And you dont correct him, you like being alive after all, and after that you just… continue with your life. And then several years later you tell this to some random guy in the tunnels you’ve been hiding in, and he not only knows who the goth was, but seems somewhat fond of the goth. And then you get brutal pipe murdered by the random guy’s boss. Oops
big fan of artists who depict martin looking more and more like peter every season. also a big fan of artists who depict jon looking more and more like elias every season. like hell yeah remind me how they never break the cycle and are all just replaceable pawns to the same eldritch horrors I love it keep em coming boys.
