saddest thing that can happen to 2 guys with freak shit going on is people calling them boyfriends. yes i know theyve got something homosexual going on but brother it is NOT that
you guys realise that the point of media isnt just to find 2 white men and make them fit into your boxes. right? “suburban husbands” is not the end goal for every relationship. sometimes two guys just have to have freak shit going on.
listen to me. ok? i take your hand very gently. not every person is going to love each other in the way you’ve been taught. sometimes people just want to fuck around with each other. sometimes they’re special to each other without definitions involved. sometimes soulmates are never going to get married. even when they love each other. yes, even when they love each other romantically. sometimes theres freak shit going on and that freak shit won’t end with “boyfriends”. ok?
the world can be so beautiful. sometimes they just get married for tax benefits and then never address it again. the characters’ self-reflection doesnt HAVE to fix their freak shit. the bit doesn’t have to stop just because people go to therapy
THEY WOULD NOT FUCKING HAVE KIDS.

Elias Bouchard is not a twink because the word twink describes an effeminate queer man in late teens/early twenties who is slim, boyish and has a youthful appearance. And let’s be real, none of this describes Elias. He isn’t even effeminate! His style is canonically old fashioned, Rosie having described his old fashioned hairstyle looking out of place on his youthful face. People think of him as twink because straight people started using it when they mean faggot.
somehow an unpopular opinion but i DO think it’s completely fine and normal to post criticism of something (eg. show/book/movie/podcast/whatever else) and like. tag it as that thing. it’s normal to hold criticism of something, even and especially something you like, (and even and especially something you don’t) and want to have a dialogue about those criticisms…. hence tagging the item it’s about. i think it’s a very silly, non-engaged thing when people get up in arms and act as if people posting their criticism under the relevant tag is some sort of affront or personal attack on them, or as if it’s taboo, or any such sort of other thing. if you don’t so much as want to discuss the media/item, or ever hear another persons opinion on the matter, why are YOU looking in the tags. to be quite honest. and if seeing someone’s criticism annoys you or you feel like they’re too entrenched in pure haterisms for your taste, just block them and move on. but the individual with criticism is not at fault for sharing their opinion, nor are they in any way aggressing you by posting about it in their personal blog.

tbh gritting my teeth while listening through tmagp bc 1) the writing sucks man im so sorry. it’s like adjective soup in half of the cases so far — as if hyper-describing something can make it ‘more scary’ and not just very amateur in execution. 2) oh my godddd the PACING is just not very good. it’s all over the place. it feels like they’re trying to cram. 3) the point of view shifts are somewhat nonsensical and make for very jarring and disconnected transitions. hate how nearly nothing is related on a per-episode basis so far. like we’ve got some office talk (bashing my head against the wall as they try to play off of the ‘office comedy’ concept that a lot of fans tried to force tma into), a typically shoddily written case, and then 2+ extracurriculars. and none of these items cohesively translate into the other. 4) THE VOICE ACTING ISNT VERY GOOD. SORRY. like the casual conversation between our main cast is fine, but the cases….. the delivery is very lacking. and so is theeee writing to be honest. but i’ve already said that. just highlighting.
it’s so disappointing too bc tma was such a polished & passionate project from the get go — and barring my immense criticism of s5, mostly remained that way. and now we have tmagp coasting off of its success with a viewer base who are mostly here from tma and it’s just….. well. not good. it’s as if internal standards have completely changed for the worse.
