During Season 4 of The Magnus Archives I thought the big twist was going to be that Peter was manipulating Martin and pulling him away from everyone to isolate John.

I thought Peter was going to try and make John an Avatar of The Lonely to pull him away from The Eye. All so that Elias would have less control over him. I also thought Elias was maybe going to try something with The Extinction and Peter thought having John as an avatar could circumvent that.

I like what we got in canon more than where I thought the plot was going, but the idea of Lonely! John does live in my head rent free. In fact, I’m kinda tempted to write a fic about the idea because I really had it all mapped out in my mind.
