
The realest thing the Magnus Archives ever did was give an entire hell dominion to bigots where their own hate and desire to be a part of the “in” group became what tormented them.
(Also, this is great social commentary in general about bigots and how their “need” to be right about their hate often stims from the fear that they’ll be the one turned on if no one’s viewed as lower on the food chain then them. Of course, having this fear doesn’t negate the harm bigotry causes, and plenty of bigots are just hateful because they’re hateful, but I still do really like this commentary and how it’s woven into the world of The Magnus Archives. It hits really hard as someone apart of a marginalized group who lives in a rural area.)
