Here’s a question I’ve been on the fence about since I watched TMA for the first time:

Do you think Jon was being sincere about blinding himself and running away with Martin, or was Martin right and did Jon only ask him so when Martin said “No” he’d have an excuse not to do it?

I think Jon really wanted to run away with Martin.

I think Jon wanted Martin to refuse him so he’d have an “valid” excuse to stay.

I think it’s a mix of both.
