There’s so much irony in Martin saying that he and Jon still have time to talk “unless the world ends,” only to then spend the entire eye-apocalypse chatting as they travel to The Institute.
In fact, Martin and Jon interact the most throughout Season 5 since they aren’t busy with The Institute’s nonsense. As it turns out, the apocalypse was THE BEST time for them to talk.
