Hi! Your art of Jon's scars is really fascinating, and one of the things that inspired me to start work on a cosplay of him that will show off his scars. I was wondering a couple things-- first, you mentioned three scars on his neck, but i only recall the one that daisy gave him. can you remind me where the others came from? two, what was the failed operation you referred to? Ah!! thats wonderful good luck on your cosplay! 

I took a lot of artist liberties with the scars (I didnt know it’d get this popular) for instance the skinning lines are completly made up and have no bearing in canon. I put three scars on his neck bc it would look more like a claw mark through his throat vs just a knife (cus hehe, its hunter related) but in terms of putting it in cannon, I dont think it’d be off the mark to say that daisy pushed the knife into different locations during that whole exchange, also, there is the scene in S4 where Julia and Trevor hold him hostage -> that could explain a line too.

When I drew this, Jon just figured out how to escape the institute, so I thought of a scene where he would try to take out his eyes, but The Beholding wouldn’t let go of him so easily, hence, ‘Failed Operation’. Obviously this didnt happen and I dont think it would have behind the scene, so its not really relevant :0
