Jon stares speechlessly, an exclamation mark trailing into an ellipsis, and then flusters hard, his shoulders jumping up and many exclamation marks popping up behind him. He exclaims, “H-how!?” Daisy raises an eyebrow and says, “Jon. I used to be a detective.” Jon, blushing, says, “R-right.” Basira grins.
The next page is titled “A few weeks earlier…” The three of them are in a bar, all with reddened cheeks, and Jon has the highest flush. He gathers the other two and says conspiratorially, “Can I tell you guys a secret?” Daisy smiles, “Ya,” and Basira frowns, “Uh…”
With all their faces pressed together, Jon closes his eyes and says with a softly shy expression, “I think I may have feelings for Martin…” He looks embarrassed and closes his eyes, raising a finger to his lips and cringing, “Please don’t tell! I know it’s unprofessional!” Daisy and Basira look delighted, Daisy especially looking thrilled as they point at each other. End ID]
