That Melanie King book would be best seller not only because it would be an intriguing mystery with Melanie slowly uncovering the mysteries of the Archives and other ghosts but also because there will be of course the very good romance between Melanie and Georgie

YES YES ok so I’m thinking slow burn with Georgie/WTG filling the role of Rival Paranormal Investigator to start out with. Melanie dislikes What The Ghost on principle because she thinks it’s overproduced and doesn’t take ghost hunting seriously enough, so she’s like “who is this joker smh” (though since WTG is a podcast she’d never actually seen what Georgie looked like before and oh no she’s cute but Melanie definitely doesn’t care about that) and yet they keep bumping into each other at haunted locations and such (they’re both investigating the patterns caused by the fear entities, though they don’t know it, so their paths overlap) and there’s Tension And Pining

But anyway all this culminates in them both ending up locked in a haunted house or something overnight and it’s just like

And they’re forced to work together and confront their feelings and uhh yeah then they kiss. Once they start dating Georgie joins Melanie on cases sometimes and becomes that fan favorite character that everyone wishes was in all of the books and of course they’re a ghost hunting power couple.
