Y'know that when that nurse described Gerry as in his mid 30s, he was probably between 26 and 28? That was in 2011 and in 2002 he was estimated to be in his late teens, and it’s generally a lot easier to guess the age of a teen than that of an adult. And it may have been a mistake on the writer’s side, but it’s very well possible that after everything he’s been through, he just looked older than he was.
Anyway, I’m sad
(ID below the cut)
[ID: a digital portrait drawing of Gerard Keay from the Magnus Archives, drawn from the chest up. There are two images: the first is coloured, and the second is just the rough line-art.
Gerry is a white man, with long, very straight and smooth hair, parted in the middle and tucked behind his ears, that has been coloured a fake-looking black. He’s unshaven and has dark circles under his eyes.
He has many piercings in his ears, one through the bridge of his nose, and one in his lower lip. He’s wearing teal and dark blue eye shadow and eyebrows, and a matching Hawaiian shirt: teal with dark blue and orange flowers. His fingernails are also painted blue. He wears a necklace, the pendant of which is hidden inside his shirt
He’s got his face turned slightly away and upwards, with his eyes closed, as if he’s enjoying the warmth of the sun. His left hand is raised up near his face, holding a lit cigarette between his index- and middle finger. /End ID]
