not to overanalyze Jonah Magnus in regards to transness, but it’s not just the body hopping (though of course, thats a tempting fantasy)

it’s the watching everything as an outsider. often times in our own body we are watching our own lives from an outside perspective, it is not something we can participate in. his inaction makes me feel like I’m a boy again, choosing to watch as life went on around me, but not living myself. is he a villain? of course. but I can’t deny that a large part of my transness is linked to fear in both regards of myself and other people. His curiosity is a curse, it is a danger, and so is the inklings of discovery- of the fruition of the idea that perhaps I may be different-

tragic? perhaps. But he’s still the Regency era’s number one most elegible bachelor so it’s fine.
