Nope but I keep seeing animatics of them on youtube, so I at least know who you’re talking about- (which is an improvement for me- most of the time I have no idea what people are talking about.)
ALSO I didn’t even notice that you were anonymous at first- I recently liked exactly 1 post about them, and also only know 1 account that uses the eyes emoji- so haha I solved the mystery of who you are
Lol I should change my username to detective edette the great
Lol it’s fine don’t worry! Now I feel bad for mentioning it, so I’m gonna tell you all about everything I know about those Minecraft youtubers based on the animatics I’ve seen-
Ok so there’s the green shirt guy with the mask- I’m gonna assume he’s george but idk- he’s my favorite because he seems interesting
Then there’s there’s the blue shirt guy with the goggles. I’m gonna guess he’s dream.
I know there are more people there on their team but they’re the ones with the memorable character designs in the animatics.
Also they fight a pig king dude. Again, idk his name, but he’s normally drawn as a pink/red pig man with a crown
And that’s all I know, have a nice day!
Ok I just googled it and I’m still confused but I think green dude is dream and blue dude is george
Which I didn’t expect because it’s called Dreamteam and I thought blue dude was the leader/ it’s his team but I guess not
So there’s this guy called Edmond Dantes. He’s the protagonist. He’s living a pretty good life, BUT WAIT! These 2.5 guys are jealous of his half-decent life and decide to plot against him and get rid of him! You’re probably wondering how there could be half a guy. The thing is guy #3 is kinda just There. Like he’s not actively plotting or anything- he’s just hanging out with the 2 guys who are. He actually warns them to stop plotting, but he’s 99% drunk at the moment, so they only pretend to stop plotting to get him to shut up.
ANYWAY. One of the 2 plotters realizes that due to circumstances, it might look like Edmond committed treason. So if someone were to send in a formal accusation against him, chances are he’d be arrested. So yeah they do that.
BUT THE THING IS, the prosecutor appointed to interrogate Edmond/investigate the case isn’t an idiot, and pretty much right away he’s like “yeah it’s pretty clear that you’re innocent and someone’s just trying to set you up.” And for a second there, it looks like everything’s gonna be ok for our good friend Edmond. But unfortunately, mr prosecutor man finds out something that gives him a personal motive for getting Edmond as far away from France as possible (oh yeah I forgot to mention this takes place in France). So he sends Edmond to prison. Oh well.
Stuff happened. Edmond finds a way out of prison. Edmond finds buried treasure and changes him name to THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO (hehe that’s the name of the book). Then he goes back to France to start putting the world’s most elaborate revenge scheme into motion.
Can I just say- and I know I’ve said stuff like this before but can I just say- Edmund of Gloucester and Andrea Cavalcanti would get along so well. They wouldn’t even try to scam each other. They would just respect each other. They’d be like “hey my dad kinda sucks”
“haha yeah same- he hates me because I’m literally and figuratively a bastard”
“huh. Same. what did you do about it?”
“Oh, so I framed my brother for plotting against him so that he’d make me the heir, and then I accused him of treason and nearly got him killed.”
“woah that’s awesome! all I did was, oh, I don’t know, pretend to be nobility- which by birthright I practically am, my mother was a baroness- to gain the trust of the people of Paris. I kinda stabbed a guy and got caught though. Luckily that father of mine that I mentioned before happened to be the crown prosecutor. So after he was done accusing me of all my crimes, I accused him of his- basically just how he tried to murder me when I was an infant. No big deal. I think he lost his job after that.”
“His job and any respect anyone had for him, right? Yeah, same happened with my dad. I got his title of Earl after he was accused of treason and my brother was out of the picture as well”
That moment when you follow someone and then they follow you and you’re like “why?? I post maybe once a week, and I only post decent quality posts once every 2 months.”
Hamlet AU where instead of the play scene, Hamlet invents the game Clue.
Hamlet: Ok so let’s play this game I just made. Basically someone killed the king, and you have to figure out, by process of elimination, who did it with what weapon where.
*10 minutes into the game*
Gertrude: Hmm… was it Ophelia, in the library, with a dagger?
Hamlet: well I don’t know mom, it’s not like I rigged this or anything. Why don’t you check?
Gertrude, checking the card: oh great, I was wrong. It was Claudius, with poison, in the garden.
Thanks for the tag! I’ve already done similar ones (top 5 male characters, top 5 Shakespeare characters), so as to not overlap with the characters I’ve already named there, this time I’m only going to characters from assorted webtoons this time.

Hamlet: So you’re probably wondering why I called you all here today. It’s because one of you killed dad and I’m going to figure out who.
Claudius: How do I know you didn’t kill him?
Hamlet: I couldn’t have killed him- I was in England when he died.
Claudius: hmmm… I still think you killed him. You have a motive- you’d inherit the throne. At least you thought you would, before I married your mother.
Hamlet: I was thousands of miles away.
-cuts to Hamlet interrogating each person separately and discovering that they all have legit motives. For totally non sketchy reasons, Claudius never shows up to his interrogation-
Hamlet: So, where were you when my father died.
Gertrude: I was, you know…. somewhere. Hamlet, do we really have to do this? We’re at my wedding- you’re ruining my wedding.
Hamlet: You wouldn’t even be having a wedding if dad was still alive!
*Gertrude walks away to go eat some wedding cake*
Hamlet: ok… next up we have Laertes.
*camera cuts to Laertes is talking to Ophelia nearby. “Don’t you dare date Hamlet- it won’t end well” he says*
Hamlet: So he doesn’t think dating me will end well, huh. Could that be because he killed my father, and is planning on killing me next?
i am literally cackling out loud this show is a masterpiece
Considering the amount of times he goes from “a platypus?” to “PERRY the platypus!”, you have to assume that he runs into regulars platypuses all the time- or at least often enough that he doesn’t just assume every platypus he meets is Perry.
Hey, I have a playlist on spotify, its named "Whats Poppin? My Lungs" (long story) anyhow, its what i would describe as gradually more intense songs for kids who call themselves alt. There are some my chemical romance songs, mother mother, ext. Feel free to give it a listen if you are bored :3
THANK YOU I’ll go look for it soon! Chances are there’s only one playlist by that name, so it should be pretty easy to find
Me: it’s a bit too hot in this room.. if only there was something I could do about that...
Also me: *is literally holding the remote for the air conditioner*
There are a lot of unique versions of Shakespeare’s plays, so let me introduce you to one more:
Othello, but cut all of Iago’s asides. The entire play is just about this nice friendly guy called Iago, and how he gives really great advice to everyone- then suddenly in act 5 there’s the biggest plot twist in all of Shakespeare history- that Iago has secretly been the main antagonist the whole time.
Opinions? Opinions! What do you think about Richard III (the play, though the actual king works too XD), also interested to hear about your opinion on rocks if you haven't got any on Richard
OK so I haven’t read Richard III yet (but I definitely plan on reading it), so I don’t know anything about it.
I DO, HOWEVER, KNOW WHAT A ROCK IS AND CAN TALK ABOUT THAT INSTEAD. So. Rocks are nice. Especially the colorful and/or shiny ones. When I was younger I went to some museum that had a whole section about rocks, and afterward I went to the gift shop and bought a bunch of rocks. But pebbles, however, aren’t cool. They get into your shoes and stab your feet.
talk to me about how the villains of lear are actually kinda valid
I WAS JUST TELLING SOMEONE ABOUT THIS YESTERDAY! OK SO (time to turn off capslock I guess) Normally in Shakespeare’s plays you have the protagonist who’s normally morally grey, and then the antagonist, who’s normally just an absolutely horrible person, so that when you compare the two, the protagonist seems like a better option to root for.
For example, in Othello, Othello’s a morally meh guy. He killed his wife because his friend suggested that his wife maybe might be cheating on him. But Iago? Iago’s just evil. (Not saying I don’t think he’s an interesting character, just saying he has practically no valid reason for doing what he’s doing and just seems to enjoy the chaos he causes). Sure, there’s a rumor that his wife cheated on him with Othello, but it’s very unlikely that that’s actually true. Iago’s a smart guy. He could have figured that out. So when you compare Othello to Iago, you clearly want Othello to figure out that he’s being lied to, rather than hope that Iago succeeds in ruining everyone’s lives.
HOWEVER, King Lear is unique in the way that it doesn’t have to SAY an excuse for these characters doing what they’re doing. In Othello, there had to be some reason for Iago’s actions- even if the reason wasn’t a very good one. But in King Lear, the play doesn’t need to tell you a reason. You know why? Well I don’t care if you know or not- I’m gonna tell you anyway.
King Lear starts off showing you the mistreatment of certain characters. It opens up with Gloucester’s mistreatment of Edmund (ie how he introduces him to Kent by saying “ah yes this is my bastard son who I don’t like. I like his brother more.”), and Lear’s mistreatment of his daughters (ie how he comes up with the most egotistical way to divide up his land). At the end of that scene, you see 2/3 of Lear’s daughters deciding that they’ve had enough of said mistreatment, and that they’re going to put an end to it. Same goes for Edmund, who at the beginning of the next scene decides he’s had enough.
We don’t know how long or how often Goneril, Regan, and Edmund had to put up with their fathers, but considering how none of them were surprised by how their fathers were acting in Act 1 Scene 1, you can assume that that was the way they normally acted. And if that’s the case, I’d say that although we don’t know for sure, we can assume their actions were justified to an extent. They weren’t acting out of jealously or anger or greed, they were acting in vengeance. They were wronged countless times before the start of the play, and now it’s finally time for them to get back to the ones who’ve wronged them.
Often times we see stories where the protagonist is driven by vengeance. Those stories often end with the protagonist harming/killing the person responsible for their suffering, and then either being satisfied with it or deciding they went too far and repenting in some way. Technically, King Lear written from a different point of view could be like that- especially considering how both Lear and Gloucester die at the end. It’s Edmund, Goneril, and Regan’s bad luck that they were written as the antagonists, and therefore had to be killed off too.
im doing another ask because you write such good essays and i want to know your thoughts on the henriad
Well this answer isn’t gonna be so great. But. I’ve never read it. The only Henry play I own is Henry V and I still haven’t gotten around to reading it (probably because I’m still trying to finish my summer reading) (which is taking forever) (because the book is fairly boring) (it’s The Longest Day by Cornelius Ryan) (it’s about d-day and it’s very detailed) (but it doesn’t focus on any specific person- instead each chapter focuses on a place or a group of people and tells you what’s up with them)
But anyway. Back to the Henriad. So as I said- I never read any Henrys and the only one I own is Henry V. BUT I could tell you all about the cover of Henry V at least (because as the expression goes, always judge a book by its cover).
So here on the cover there’s a group of 4 men (maybe 5?) holding the legs of s suit of armor (that may or may not have someone in it?). The suit of armor is being lifted up by a pulley.
Now I have no idea what that’s supposed to mean, but I can assume that it’s gonna be an interesting story when I finally get around to reading it.
EDIT: I’ve made the mistake of not including a picture of it. So here it is:
That moment when your friend is trying to convince you that masks are pointless and you shouldn’t wear them and you’re just sitting there.. so disappointed in your friend’s opinions..
also, do y’all not realize how telling it is whether u have chapped lips or not?
Dandelions and Paintings
Also. H O W???
You all know I NEVER reblog things. So if I’m reblogging something that means it’s imortant. This is important. This quiz stares into your soul and tells you a random string of facts about yourself that are creepily accurate. The only good reason for you not to take it is A)you have bad WiFi and the page isn’t loading, B) you’re terrified of the all-knowing quiz figuring out that you’ve committed tax fraud, C)you’re not on tumblr and don’t see this post, or D) you just don’t feel like taking it.
Me: *uses tumblr instead of google docs to write and save stuff because for some reason writing on tumblr tricks my brain into thinking that I’m doing something I wanna do, rather than something I have to*
girl who has never been to america or paid attention to a single US map labels (most) of the states:

meanwhile, in america:
I feel like I’m interrupting a conversation (jk I know I’m interrupting a conversation) But hi I’m American, and the only states I can identify on there are New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (the tri-state area!), California and Texas. We were literally never taught geography.
We were able to memorize the state capitals for extra credit once, but I forgot most of them by now.

Ok wait let me correct myself- I do not, in fact, know where all 3 of the states in the tri-state area are, because I don’t know where Connecticut is

So either he has very low standards, or he wants to take over the easiest places to take over first, and he’ll move on to the cooler places later
Also- for all the people out there who are fans of both The Umbrella Academy and UnOrdinary, TUA answers one of UnO’s biggest questions- who would win in a fight/who’s stronger, John or Seraphina?
The answer is Seraphina, because as we can see, time related abilities win over ability copying abilities
