I know that technically Minecraft TNT exists, but i’m not sure how to get gunpowder, so I’ve resorted to starting fights with creepers to blow things up instead
Creeper killing is a bit tricky: you need to hit the creeper (prefeably with a sword or an axe), back up far enough that it calms down and is not immediately about to explode, then go in for another hit. Repeat until the creeper is dead (or blows up, if you can't get far enough in time)
If you click the green book when you open ypur inventory, it gives you all the recipes you can make with the items you have or once had! Soil is made plantable by right-clicking dirt with a hoe (wooden hoe is made by two sticks in lower middle and middle middle spaces on the crafting table and planks on upper middle and left or right upper corner!)

The black and white block is bedrock, it's at the bottom of the world and it is unbreakable. It is useful because it stops you from falling through into the void
And here I was thinking I just needed a fancier pickaxe
The red stripe things are redstone! Somewhat useful, but you usually get a lot from one and there are not many uses. I recommend mining them anyway, because often you can find something else nearby (idk if it's an actual game mechanic or if it just feels like it but I often find iron by mining the redstone). The gold stripes is gold, and you need an iron pickaxe to mine both! (Stone might be enough for redstone? I'm not sure, you can probably test it sincw redstone is not very rare)

But about gold: if you want to travel to Nether (one of the three dimensions; there's Overworld, where you are now, Nether, where you can go by crafting a portal, and the End, where you can go by finding the portal and beat the main boss aka the Ender Dragon) you want to have a piece of golden armor, as there are creatures that will attack you if you don't have any golden armor on you; you can also trade with them using gold

You can speedrun just for yourself! I tried to do it a few times but i always died pretty early into the game. The farthest i got was making the nether portal, walking into the nether and immediately sprinting off a cliff and into a giant pit of lava. Also, lowering the difficulty is a good idea! Easy is the easiest difficulty one can beat the game in, but it can be a good idea to start with peaceful, because that difficulty has no hostile mobs at all!
When I first got it I put it on Hard for some reason, because I was like “how hard can it really be??”
And now I realize I’m an absolute idiot and I really need to go back and change the settings
It doesn't have that power, but you might have found boots with the enchantment "Frostwalker" on them! When wearing boots with that enchantment, water turns to ice when you step on it :D

Yeah no that’s absolutely fair.
1- YES The Trope! Great is this my Thing now? Is this what Tumblr knows me for? The Trope? I mean. At least people know what sort of books/movies/shows to recommend me
2-Yeah I think the only series I read by him was Alcatraz- a friend recommended it to me in 8th grade and I was like “well that’s the weirdest series I’ve ever heard of” (she was like “and they fight evil librarians!” And I was like … they do what exactly??
3- I don’t think I’ll ever end up reading the series, but I do think I would like it if I did. But mainly because it’s by Brandon Sanderson and I trust his writing skills
4- now back to The Trope, because I wanna talk about it
for all those unfamiliar with The Trope, here’s what it is-
Literally any character who’s both a literal and figurative Bastard.- the thing that’s great about this is that it’s a perfect example of The Labeling Theory (in my opinion). So I also automatically like any other character who I consider to be a perfect example of The Labeling Theory.
Other things that are normally included with this-
-character is normally from a family of nobility of some sort (but definitely doesn’t have to be!!! That’s just how they’re normally written, to justify why society looks down on them. Bc if society *doesn’t* look down on them, it wouldn’t prove the labeling theory)
-character must either speak or write very well, or use speech/persuasion or writing as their sword and shield (metaphorically, though physically in a fantasy setting is also ok). Normally you find this skill with characters in this category automatically, because that’s a learned skill that anyone in their situation would have to have (maybe I’ll elaborate on this later) (who knows)
-building on that, the character probably also should be a great actor/liar.
-and building on *that*, the character IS NOT and SHOULD NOT be evil. If the character is outright evil, then you’re just. You’re ruining it. Because it doesn’t make sense. (Again I’ll elaborate on this maybe) The character should be morally grey. And I don’t mean “should”, as in I like that better, I mean “should” as in if you look at their upbringing and their life as a whole, a person with all those factors applied to should turn out morally grey.
-that’s it I think? I literally have finals and instead of studying for them I’m screaming into the void about The Labeling Theory

To all the sad sad people who followed me for tcomc content but now have been getting Shakespeare content for around a year now: Here’s a person for you all to follow who’s *actually* gonna give you your daily dose of TCOMC!
pointless Edmund analysis number who knows what, because I’m bored and also haven’t posted about Shakespeare for a while
I know that Edmund is in no way a tragic hero, and therefore doesn’t need a specific fatal flaw.
But too bad because I feel like analyzing this.
Anyway.
Edmund’s fatal flaw is his inability to pass up opportunity.
Let me explain.
Edmund is often compared to villains like Iago (which is a pretty bad comparison, but that’s a topic for a different post) because they both go around plotting against everyone causing chaos through excessive lying.
BUT a major difference in Edmund and Iago’s plans is that Iago had a big master plan, and each lie he told was just a piece of it, helping him get to his final goal.
But Edmund’s plan was very step-by-step. He didn’t have a master plan. He couldn’t have, because he didn’t know about the events of future acts at the time he was putting Plan A into motion in 1.2.
Edmund’s Plan A is to get rid of Edgar by framing him and become Gloucester’s heir and favorite son.
Once he became heir, his plan would have ended there.
But then the kingdom started having a whole ton of internal conflict, and Gloucester joined the wrong side of it. Gloucester not only joined the wrong side, but he told Edmund about it, and told him exactly where he could find the one and only piece of evidence against him.
So now Edmund takes that opportunity as well, and reveals Gloucester’s actions to Cornwall, who accuses Gloucester of treason, thereby making Edmund Earl.
And he would have stopped there. He got more than he originally thought he’s get.
But now the the highest ranking womantwo of the highest ranking women in England are interested in him. He could become King. KING. He could actually become KING now.
He was only trying to become heir to and earl originally. BUT NOW HE COULD BECOME KING!!
But then some ✨mysterious masked dude✨ challenges him to the whole trial by combat thing, and once again, this is an opportunity he can’t pass up. If he wins the fight, some serious charges against him will be dropped. Sure, he can refuse since the guy didn’t identify himself. But what if the guy says “actually hold up, I’ve decided to identify myself now”? Then he’d definitely have to fight him. It’s better for him to fight without demanding the man to reveal himself, because then if he loses in a way that doesn’t involve him dying, he can demand a rematch due to the opponent technically not following the rules. This way he can potentially get another chance.
Not sure how to end this- I left this sitting in drafts for a while but I wanna post it
Also while I’m here let me just say as much as I love Goneril, Regan will always be better than her in my opinion
Point 1- Lear asks his daughters to praise him
Goneril says a whole long (and tbh overdramatic) speech about how much she loves him
Regan just goes “yeah what she said. Except like 3x more”
And lear’s like ‘WOW YOU SURE MUST LOVE ME A LOT THEN’
Point 2- when Goneril and Regan both are trying to figure out if Edmund is secretly dating both of them, goneril’s tactic is to murder Regan, bc if Regan’s dead Edmund’s definitely not dating her
Meanwhile, Regan’s tactic was to just ask Edmund.
She was like “hey are you dating Goneril?”
And Edmund was like “what?! No!”
And she was like “ok cool just checking”
And yeah of course Edmund was lying, but that’s not the point. Because Regan knows what a healthy relationship is, and knows that you have to trust your partner.
Also while I’m here let me just say as much as I love Goneril, Regan will always be better than her in my opinion
