“Chat is a fourth person pronoun” It’s a noun. You idiot. It’s not even a pronoun it’s a noun.

when a teacher says “class, what do you think the answer to #2 is?”
“Class” is a noun. A specific term for a collective is a noun. A generalized term to use in place of a noun is a pronoun. “Guys” is a noun. “Friends” is a noun. “Chat” is a noun.
“You (plural)” is a pronoun. If you’re talking to the chat (ie viewers) and you use collective you that would be a pronoun.

“Chat, what do you want me to play today?”

chat is a noun. you is a pronoun.

IT’S SNOWING YESSSSSSS

”orphan/abandoned child finds out he’s the long-lost prince” is a perfectly fine cathartic rags to riches storyline. but what about the stuff that comes afters. Gimme a detailed analysis of the pros and cons of a street kid running a Kingdom.

because on the one hand having the commoner’s point of view at the forefront of every political decision will ensure that we finally have a ruler who truly is for the people. but on the other hand this kid’s got no formal education and knows nothing about politics.

10/10 manga for pulling a “we’ll defeat you with the power of friendship!!” “That’s… incredibly ignorant of you. I’m significantly more powerful, whether or not you have friends won’t impact this fight”

Literally just watching sunshine boy going on this gradual corruption arc until he’s the main antagonist and I think that more mangas should do this

I forgot Edmond Dantes exists for a second

👀👀

May I get the 411 on what manga you're gushing about? 🤭

ok I’m gonna advertise this to you as well as possible because most of the online reviews of it were review-bombed by dudebros who hate seeing a girlboss win

So the manga is Munou na Nana/Talentless Nana, there’s a 13 episode anime adaptation of the beginning of it, but the anime really only covers the opening stuff

it’s a pretty standard genius vs genius mind games Shonen manga (think Death Note or The Promised Neverland)— EXCEPT it’s almost entirely female-lead. The ratio of important female characters to male characters is the exact opposite of most Shonens. (This becomes more apparent the further you get into the manga, at the beginning the ratio is about even)

now to get into plot stuff. Note that this includes spoilers for things that happen in chapter 1, and if you wanna go into this totally blind then feel free to read chapter 1 and then come back here

(also I’m gonna put in a cut where it gets up to spoilers— if it doesn’t sound interesting by the time you get up to the cut, then click read more and I promise it’ll all become interesting then)

Now onto the general set up for the plot— People suddenly start developing super powers one day, and although it’s very rare, the powers are destructive enough to cause problems. At the same time, these non-human beings(?) referred to as the “enemies of humanity” also appear and start causing harm and destruction.

The government has to come up with ways to make sure that people don’t just go around wrecking everything with their abilities (called “talents”), and at the same time they need a way to handle the enemies of humanity. So they decide to kill two birds with one stone and have the superpowered people (“Talenteds”) handle the supernatural beings.

To do this, they create a school for talenteds so they can properly learn how to fight the enemies of humanity and get some level of formal training

but PLOT TWIST there’s NO SUCH THING as “enemies of humanity” the government MADE THEM UP

and the school is a SHAM so that the government could gather talenteds in one place and just kill them all off.

Because what reasonable government would want this 0.01% of the population who are capable of mass destruction to be roaming around freely.

and so among the students they send one (not talented) assassin whose job is to kill off all the talenteds. And that’s the protagonist of the story. Our lovely girlboss Talentless Nana.

YOU KNOW TALENTLESS NANA?! OMG, I READ IT UP TO HER SECOND KILL BUT LIKE I WAS SO WORRIED SHE'S GONNA GET CAUGHT BECAUSE SHE KEPT GETTING CLOSE TO THEM AND EVERYBODY ELSE KNOWS!!

*deep breath*

Anyway, is the manga finished now? Is the plot still fun after the second kill? (If i remember correctly she's gonna have a problem with the immortal guy right? I kinda like that guy though).... Huh, just realized this is kinda spoilery.

Agh, remembering talentless nana makes me feel weirdly nostalgic, well, I'm done gushing, thank you for reading my chaos

THERE IS SO MUCH MORE GOING ON AND YOU ARE BARELY AT THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG

listen. Listen ok. Everything that you think you know about the story and the world building. There’s a whole lot more to it than that. There’s so much more. It’s up to chapter ~90 I think and the classmate assassinations have not been relevant for the past ~30 chapters now. Please I beg of you continue reading it, the beginning kills are absolutely nothing compared to everything else that happens later.

And yes I love my guy Kyoya dearly. You learn his backround in later chapters so if you want more Kyoya content, there’s certainly more Kyoya content.

actually here’s a non-spoiler screenshot of Kyoya from chapter 91, ya our boy is alive!!

And as for his sister. Yeah you meet her. You very much meet her. That is something that in fact happens. You get a whole chapter of her backstory later.

Both of the Onodera siblings are alive at this point of the manga but they are going through it. They’re not doing so great. But then again I don’t think any characters are doing so great? Come read the manga. You’ll like it it’s great. It’s worth it to continue

you ever read a homework assignment and go “yeah no that’s not gonna happen”

edettethegreat:

you ever read a homework assignment and go “yeah no that’s not gonna happen”

Like for example I once had a teacher assign the entirety of Walden due in a week. There’s no way I’m reading a 300 page book in a week while I also have assignments for other classes

borealiszero:

People should make more doomed by narratives siblings relationship.

Like with lovers you can just sever it and not have it related to you ever again but with siblings how could you?

You grow up with them you raise them or they raised you you both know how unforgiving the world is to both of you? You would die for them but will hate them for doing the same and yet none of you would regret it and both of you know it. They could be the person you loath the most and miss the most cause you still remember how they sneaked a candy into your hands. You can sever the tie but you can never look away at what you’ve lost, at whom you’ve lost because fate doesn’t allow you to be together, eating dinners in quiet peace, if only there’s another life, another time, where i can make you another plate of pancakes i would im sorry im sorry im sorry —

what do you mean unsurvivable isn’t a word

Merry Christmas!!! 🎄🎄🎄

aw thank you!! Merry Christmas/happy holidays Wakanai!! And I’m guessing you’re done with finals/final assignments now, so (if your school didn’t give grades yet) good luck with the grades this term—I’m sure you did great on everything!!
