Ok so I think I made a post about this a while ago and deleted it, but if the post is still up, sorry for being repetitive-

Edmond Dantes and Andrea are just weird parallels of each other.

Hear me out:

They both

- went to jail

- somehow got out of jail 

- and suddenly became rich

- and changed their identities 

- their wedding got interrupted by legal officers

- and their cases were assigned to Villefort

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!! 

Their relationship with the main 3.5 antagonist are the same!

Danglars- is after Edmonds salary/position, after Andrea’s money/position

Fernand- wants to marry Mercedes but Edmond’s in the way, wants his son to marry Eugenie but Andrea’s in the way

Villefort- wants to get rid of them to hide evidence 

Caderousse- doesn’t really have anything against Edmond, just jealous of his success, doesnt really have anything against Andrea (until he stabs the life out of him), just jealous of his money

IN CONCLUSION- I don’t know what I’m getting at with this..  its just something I noticed
