I’m reading all about Icarus for AP Lit, and Minos’s plan for finding Daedalus post his escape is so funny.

His entire plan is “Well. Daedalus is smart. So if I make up a riddle and tell it to the whole nation, whichever town solves it first is the town Daedalus is hiding in”

Like. No. Minos. Did you forget that if the riddle was easy enough for you yourself to make up, it might not be the best one to use?

BUT THE PLAN WORKS ANYWAY.

So yeah. In conclusion, Minos’s plan is dumb but it’s hilarious and works and I love it

Update: Minos goes to the town to capture Daedalus, but the local king was like nope and killed Minos instead.

So his plan worked but he failed anyway

Daedalus casually tries to kills a child because he’s jealous that the child is smart.

Luckily the child was magically turned into a bird, so everything’s ok
