At that line, he looks at the Mysterious Masked Man’s sword. 

Which you may remember, was his.

Because the sword Edgar is using is the one Edmund gave him in 1.2

Edmund sees it and is like “well. That looks familiar…. oh. OH. Oh yeah I’m probably gonna die now.”
