I love your ideas (mainly the second one)- both people involved are in my (very small) AP Lit class- so I could just casually tell a story there like “yeah I heard a story about how these people didn’t like this other person, so they just poisoned a bunch of food and gave it to her as a gift. haha funny story, right? So cool how that would never happen nowadays”
