edette, i finally had time to start reading king lear!! i like how it starts with "ah yes. this is my son. my bastard son who is a bastard."

Yup- Shakespeare’s really great at opening up his plays with great conversations

The whole opening of Lear is like 

Kent: is that your son?

Gloucester: Ah yes my bastard son. He’s illegitimate.

Kent: okay-

Gloucester: His mom was hot tho

Kent: oka-

Gloucester: Just. SO hot. 

Kent: o-

Gloucester: Anyway I have a legitimate son who’s older than him. I like that one better. But I don’t have a favorite child lol.
