ok so i feel like i do have to start my ginger hamlet defense with the fact that im ginger and identify way too strongly with hamlet. so. i mean. i feel like theres a clear root there.

however i do have genuine reasons for ginger hamlet. one is that i dont like blond hamlet very much because men shouldn’t be blond /j and i feel like black haired hamlet is very shoo in gothic. this only changes with 1) dyed hair hamlet (which most blond hair hamelt is anyways) and 2) hamlet played by a POC

anyways, reasons i think hamlet should be ginger:

I was so neutral up until hamlet’s hair color either matching his father’s or claudius’s. that’s so perfect. I need that.


technically you could do that with any physical feature (including but not limited to hair color, including but not limited to ginger). HOWEVER. I do like how distinct ginger is. And I’m completely on board with your hamlet staging color scheme of black clothes on a white marble set.
