#I can't think of any other character who's described as attractive by characters with no motive to compliment them #like obviously characters who are love interests will call each other beautiful #but I can't think of any other shakesapeare character who's objectively Very Pretty #maybe cassio? but that's from characters with motive to consider whether or not he's hot #edmund just Shows Up and kent's like 'gloucester why is your son so beautiful' #plus he has multiple love interests who are in a higher social class than him #it would be disadvantageous for the lear sisters to get with him And Yet-- 7 notes
