rereading tcomc and the shakespeare parallels are even stronger than I originally thought

#definitely gonna be coming back to tcomc after I finish reading the complete works because dumas definitely knew what he was doing here #of course there's no proof that he intended for every character to have a shakespeare parallel. #however. he does directly reference shakespare many times. #and I can never get over the paris/franz parallel #you mean you named the guy who's the equivalent of paris.. franz. #ah yes paris france-- sorry. franz. my favorite character. #(in all genuineness I do love franz very much) 8 notes
