yes this is about the AP lit final I took today

any given member of the Gloucester family: “hey remember that one time when my life was ruined and/or ended because of some dumb letter?”

also about my AP Lit exam today

Goneril is the only Lear daughter who wasn’t in a good stable marriage and I know that everyone knows that but just. Her sisters were happily married and she was stuck with Albany.

I have a theory that a lot of people love Jane Austen and some other classic lit that lack plots and real emotion primarily because they're told they SHOULD. People on this site claim Jane Austen as a feminist icon and tv shows even have jokes about how anyone who dislikes Austen is terrible. If the same books were presented as written by some anonymous author, I doubt they'd still be as popular, because you and your anon were right about the sloooow pacing, nonexistent storyline, dull characters and the fact that the hero and heroine barely even speak to each other throughout the book lol. Btw, who are some of your favorite female Shakespeare characters?

YES YES YES Let’s start a Jane Austen Haters club (Or at least a “Jane Austen just isn’t as good as you all say she is” club)

As for my favorite female Shakespeare characters, I really like Viola from 12th Night and Emilia from Othello- they’re probably the only two female Shakespeare roles that I personally would want to play (if I could act at all)
