thinking so hard about ‘stand up for bastards

bastards. plural.

edmund’s not just out here looking for personal career growth, he wants a whole class to be given rights.

very cool of him

every now and then I think of either ‘look sir I bleed’ or 'thou shall find a dearer father in my love’ and I feel feelings

love how edmund tries for about 5 seconds to pull the same move iago pulls,, where he hints at an accusation but never says it outright

edmun really tries to go “when was the last time you spoke to dad? was he angry? did he say anything angry? did he maybe make an angry face at some point?”

but edgar’s just like “nope. nuh uh. not even a little bit.”

and edmund’s gotta change course and be blunt and direct with “ok well. he hates you and wants to kill you”

anyway last semester’s over so i could make the joke I’ve waited all semester to make

call me feste the way i hang out with olivia and maria all day

laertes, with no sense of propriety

laertes, who’s able to walk right in and say in front of everyone, ‘you killed my father, so I’ll kill you’

laertes, who never thinks of how he’s perceived

laertes, who has a mission. who will complete it.

hamlet, whose antics disposition doesn’t allow violence

hamlet, who sees his uncle rise, but doesn’t chase after him

hamlet, who won’t break character

hamlet, who’s acutely aware of perception and facade

hamlet. who thinks of what comes next. so you kill the king. where does that leave you? where does that leave your family? will everyone be ok? will there be a way to get through this? is there any way to survive unscathed? there will be casualties. how many? are you guaranteed to be included among them?

laertes. who doesn’t.

hi. back to you is the Laertes song. I need all 5 Laertes fans to listen to it please
