WAIT. So I finished watching The Umbrella Academy a few weeks ago, but I just had a thought. Could Allison go up to one of her siblings and say “I heard a rumor that I got your power” and just.. take their power? And keep it? And use it? Because if so she’s wayyyy more powerful than I originally thought.
Vanya: So I had a traumatic childhood where one of my siblings used her powered to make me forget that I have magic abilities and I was an outcast in my family because of that. I wrote this book called Extra Ordinary about my experiences in this family, but it didn’t really make me feel better. In the end I unleashed my powers and almost killed everybody.
John: So I also had a traumatic childhood where I was the only person at my school with no powers, and when I finally got powers they were too strong and I was irresponsible with them. I was taken to some facility to learn to cope, but instead of learning to cope I learned that the best thing to do would be to pretend that I have no powers. My dad wrote this book called UnOrdinary to help me cope, but it didn’t help me cope. And eventually I used my powers again and almost killed everyone.
