I find it weird that every time people personify the Seven Deadly Sins, they’ll make six of them portray the doer (someone who IS angry, someone who IS slothful, etc), but then they go to Lust and portray them as object being acted upon (someone OTHER PEOPLE would lust after).

Like honestly it would be more accurate to make them some scruffy white dude with a fedora than a sexy girl with curves.

This speaks to me on a deep level.

Thank you for this

but I’m so drawn in by the alternative, where each of the seven deadly sins is a temptation upon those around them to commit those sins.

lust is whatever you’d be most attracted to.

wrath is one of those obnoxious guys who always purposely misunderstands any complaint you may have to twist your words into something entirely different.

greed is a very naive person who’s constantly in situations where people would take advantage of the naiveté. Constantly forgetting valuables in crowded places too.

sloth is a caring(?) friend who keeps encouraging you to rest and ditch responsibilities.

envy is the rich, charismatic, valedictorian who has their life together and is clearly moving on to bigger things.

gluttony is a grandma who offers everyone more food than they could eat.

pride is someone who’s just slightly worse than you at everything. the classic rival type who’s always one step behind.
