Every “S5 Jon and Martin go back in time” thing I see has S1 Jon going “hmph I cannot believe my future self is dating Mahtin” while S1 Martin is like “*blush* oh gosh future boyfriends how romantic.”
Which never feels right to me because I am 200% sure if S1 Jon saw his future self so happy and loved by someone (and also got a glimpse of what Martin is like when he’s a little more confident) he’d be so overwhelmed with gay feelings that he’d hide under his desk for three days.
Meanwhile S1 Martin would probably see the same thing and go “obviously this is an alternate timeline where some wild shit happened and there’s no chance it will go the same way for me” and resume business as usual, at most maybe writing a couple of sad poems about it.
