a part of me wants to believe that the reason Jon got the Lonely mark was that he was looking for love + the corruptive force shifting from power (s1-4) to love (s5) + the hostile and punishing narrative of s5 culminating in that same love killing Jon and Martin were all deliberate storytelling choices and not just an attempt to do right by an overwhelmingly picrew-icon-tenderposting-positivity-pushing audience.
