Okay so I know neither of these are original observations but
One thing I’ve noticed and really appreciated about the TMA fandom is how ace it is, which makes a lot of sense - I know I personally started listening in large part because I heard the main character was asexual and biromantic, like me, and it’s been really lovely to find a community of people who share my experiences.
Another thing I’ve noticed about the TMA fandom is that it is incredibly, irrepressibly horny.
And honestly? Love that for us. We can, will, and must be both.
I love fluffy S1 Magnus Archives fanfics that still feel the need to loosely follow the actual events of season 1, so it’s like:
Martin has a crush on his boss! Jon is totally oblivious! Tim and Sasha are having fun watching this all play out! AlsoMartinspenttwoweekstrappedinhisapartmentbyaswarmofdeadlyparasiticworms - anyway, moving on…
i keep forgetting that the jurgen leitner rant and the tma wikisongs are like extremely specific fandom memes and i cant just reference them in a normal setting i started singing keep thotting it up in heaven king when i dropped a han solo lego figure down the drain and my sister looked at me like ive lost my mind
I was recently talking to me dad about an email I had to write to a potential employer, where I basically had to say, “1. I’m fully vaccinated, 2. I can’t drive,“ but my brain kept thinking of the “1. All cops are bastards, 2. I am gay” part of the Daisy wikisong. It got so bad that I had to just explain the song to my dad (he listens to TMA but isn’t really involved in fandom cause he’s a 60 year old man who only has like two apps on his phone).
Anyway, now when my dad and I make numbered lists in conversation, we always end up making the second point “2. I am gay”
