I have a lot of conflicted feelings about the idea of a Magnus Archives sequel, but unfortunately I cannot put them into words because ever since I listened to that audio the only thing in my brain is the phrase “My boy is back! My boy is BACK!” on a loop.

saying that it will be really hard to maintain that much of early Season 5 when
there were effectively no actual stakes and, so—

that, Jonny, it’s boring! So let’s skip that, and go straight to the misery.’

everytime i think about how jon and martin broke the promises they asked THE OTHER to make i lose it
jon dooming the universe(s) so he wouldnt have to watch martin suffer after asking martin to not interfere if jon’s death was the only way to fix things! martin (possibly) killing jon after asking jon not to jump to that solution! what the fuck!
Constantly ping-ponging back and forth between “I hope we never get a definitive answer on what happened to Jon and Martin, because the ambiguity was so important, and I can’t see a way to continue their story without ruining the original ending,” and “If I don’t get to hear from my best friend Martin Blackwood again what is even the POINT?”
She’s haunting the narrative she’s a badass she’s a #girlboss she’s a war criminal she’s more cardigan than woman she’s one of the few female characters I know of who gets to be not only legitimately morally gray but also old she saved the world like 15 times but also maybe she didn’t? Her usual strategy for saving the world was murder and/or explosives but one time she just wrote an editorial in the Guardian. She’s ruthless. If she had to exist in the post-apocalypse she would just give up. She was a great adoptive mom to a 30(?)-something goth. It’s unclear if she was truly capable of caring for another human being. I kind of want her to be my grandma. It’s possible that she completely decimated an apocalypse cult to get revenge for her cat.
