So, I started watching Dungeon Meshi, and I just watched the episodes with the red dragon.

Laios said he had a plan and then proceeded to jump on the dragon’s face, I thought “Oh, he gonna take Senshi’s knife out of the eye and use that to hold on to the dragon.” Then, when it focused on the dragon’s mouth and that it wouldn’t be as bad as what Falin went through, I thought “Oh, he’s gonna go down it’s throat and stab it from the inside.” Not once did I think he was going to have the dragon bite his leg so he could hang upside down.

I just caught up on Dungeon Meshi (the show) and I have a lot of thoughts on it, but for now here’s roughly how I feel about some of the characters.

*points at the Touden siblings. What is wrong with you? (Affectionate, but also slightly horrified)

*points at Marcille. What is wrong with you? (Concerned)

*points at Shuro. What is wrong with you? (Disappointed and slightly disgusted)

*points at Kabru. What is wrong with you? (Complete confusion mixed with fear and concern)

Okay, but why did Falin rip her shirt open? Like, why was that necessary? Just so the shirt wasn’t stuck to her wounds?

Like, ok, so, Dungeon Meshi has a lot of DnD vibes right? Which is to say a lot of European fantasy type stuff, but I also kinda think of the combat to be DnD-ish. Like their monologues that happen in the span of seconds is like a Player trying to decide what to do. So, for Falin to rip her shirt open, which seemed to take a surprising amount of effort for her to do, it’d probably take about six (6) seconds. So just imagine you’re fight a really big monster that you’re way too under leveled to fight and it uses it’s entire turn to strip.

Wouldn’t this be fun

Did you know that, not including all bonus content, the shortest tma episodes are 79 and 1 at 16 minutes and the longest are 160 at 31 minutes, 80 at 32 minutes and 111 at 40 minutes? Did you know? Did you?

If you did want to listen to all the episodes in alphabetical order (including “A”s and “The”s), here’s the order they would be in. (It’s alphabetical on one of the sheets)

Instead of a grammar check, I need something to check my emails and texts and tell me that it’s an acceptable human sounding message.

I literally take so, so, so long to work up the courage to send emails (and texts to anyone that isn’t my family, but even then…) I just reread it twenty times and then either delete it and never send anything or mentally say “fuck it” and send it.

Yeah, I know “not all aro/aces” and all, but please don’t use “not all aro/aces” as an excuse to not explore anything exclusively aro/ace ever. Otherwise any trace of aro/aceness might end up effectively lost to fandom osmosis.

To sum up… If you wouldn’t be homophobic that way, please don’t be aphobic that way.

Why hello people of Tumblr!

Does a character you like have a lack of romantic interest? Is that lack of interest treated as an issue they have to overcome instead of as a part of who they are? Does their love interest seem ham-fisted?

Well this may be the blog for you! To ask the question of could aromanticism save them?

For those who don’t know, aromanticism is defined as little to no romantic attraction to a person!

The only rule for this is no real people! Exceptions may be made if they are playing a fictional version of themselves, such as Character!Ranboo from Generation Loss.

Lady Mowbray sounds like the name of a horse.

I’m not saying Gwen isn’t classist, because she’s very clearly biased towards Lady Mowbray over Mr. Bonzo, and not just because Mr. Bonzo is more clearly a monster, but it’s not like she knew Lady Mowbray made a man kill his coworkers and chop them up for food. The statement (yes, not technically a statement, but that’s what I call them) had only just stopped playing and Lady Mowbray was already in the building; Gwen wasn’t even the one who got the statement/case, Celia was.

Like, should Gwen have maybe used a couple more brain cells to think “given that Mr. Bonzo was a hit man, maybe I should not bring any of the externals to the office?” Yes, definitely, but it’s not entirely her fault that she didn’t know not to bring any externals to the office when she wasn’t told not to, and the external in question doesn’t seem like she’s a monster.
