Most of the brutal pipe murder fanart I see has him holding the pipe with his bare hands and I just have to say there’s a 0% chance that bitch didn’t put on gloves beforehand not only to avoid leaving prints but also so he could sit there and dramatically put on pristine white gloves that he snaps around his wrist like a queer coded Disney villain the BASTARD
Can we talk about how rude it is to leave comments in the tags of an artist’s work that is solely insulting the character theyre drawing?
Most artists draw characters they *like* and it feels insulting to constantly see people constantly digging on the character in the tags
Artists on tumblr *see* what youre saying in the tags- most of us look at the tags to see if people left nice comments. You know whats discouraging? Instead of getting nice comments about our art its hate about a character we like/love.
I get that its a joke in fandom to rag on certain (mostly villain) characters. I get it. But when youre leaving no positive feedback as well its just impolite. Please stop
Ok, sorry to call this person out but I did censor their url/icon-
This is exactly what I mean. This is incredibly rude to put, basically, in the comments of someone’s art. I like Elias. He’s my favorite character in fact. I don’t like reading people insulting him in my tags all the time. It doesn’t matter if you also compliment my art (most people don’t, so props to this person for at least doing that), it doesn’t cancel it out.
I get that tags have historically been where people put personal thoughts, but its extremely common for artists to go through tags looking for feedback. And now with this (kinda) recent update which shows tags in the notifications its even easier to see what people are saying.
Anyway, please think a little more what you put in the tags. The artist does see them.
