Two questions:
One, how far are you with TMA? (I am on the start of season five and will probably finish it over spring break.)
Two, can I send you wholesome questions and asks? (I am asking in general also because of the finale not being very fun.)

Two answers (:D)

1. It sounds like I’m roughly in the same place you are. I’m just a few episodes into Season Five - 165, if I remember correctly. I too have hopes of finishing soon (especially since I keep almost running into spoilers here). I’m currently waiting for yarn to arrive because listening to podcasts? Without knitting? Barbaric.

2. Absolutely! Please send anything you’d like, wholesome or otherwise (there’s a fair bit of salt in my inbox atm for established RWBY reasons..). I’m hoping to devote some time tomorrow to answering asks because, as per my usual, I’m nowhere near caught up. Nor will I ever be caught up, but we can make a small dent in things!

like, listen, the best dynamic for tma/wtnv crossover is cecil being cheerfully oblivious and jon being at first all serious & sinister like he is abt statements and then gradually being more and more confused by this strange happy man. like. for example.

jon, ominous: …regarding a trip to target. statement recorded direct from subject.
cecil, with that ‘never mind all that’ tone: o…kay! so as always the target greeters saw me at the door and were all like 'our dark lord shall feast on those who enter here’ and i was like 'great! do you guys have those infuser water bottles?’ because carlos saw some on tv and was telling me–

Things this would include:
Cecil interrupting his own story at the most objectively unnerving points to make remarks along the lines of: 'oh, you do know that when I say cart I mean what you’d call a trolley?’
Jon: 'yes. So, about the cart or trolley… ah… devouring someone?’
Cecil: 'just that week I’d warned my listeners to bring snacks to appease the carts! Sometimes it feels like I’m talking to myself.’
Jon tripping on the American pronunciation of Cecil, and Cecil finding this funny and sweet and commenting on it in the exact same light tone he talks about throat spiders and carnivorous shopping carts.
Jon: 'I couldn’t even identify which Fear has greatest dominion in this town…’
Cecil: 'is that why parking charges are so high?!’

OKAY so on TMA twitter ppl have been making rp accounts and

and so obviously in addition to there being several rp accounts for each character theres also been an avalanche of ppl making twitter accounts for their ‘tmasonas’ who are generally institute employees which is fun but yesterday i noticed that as a general rule all the OC accounts seem pretty in the know re: the deal with the archives/entities/etc. and i started thinking like… what would a twitter account look like for an institute employee that just genuinely has NO idea. is just 100% oblivious to like an almost impressive degree. so i made one and here are some highlights

Okay so the absolute uncanniness of this video instilled such a terror in me no piece of horror media has ever done before to the point where by the end of it I genuinely thought I might throw up, and the lack of context really made it extra terrifying because in my shock I really couldn’t tell if the footage was real or not (the candid amateur-esque shooting is impeccable)
So I went ahead and dug up some information and this is actually a complication of clips from of a short (like 6 minute) film called The Centrifuge Brain Project that’s actually quite a humourous piece of surreal horror(??? I’m not sure what to call it really) in the form of a mockumentary. I highly recommend it.
As a personal side note I never considered “scientist-engineer with a questionable level of sanity designing horrifyingly dangerous pushing-the-boundaries-of-physics amusement park rides” was gonna end up on my list of Dateable Types but here we are

I just got to TMA s4 entombed. He did it. Jon the Madlad did it. I feel so proud. A bit angry. He actually did it.

Both those episodes are so good though!! At this rate you’ll pass me soon. I binged so much so fast that four episodes into season five my brain suddenly went, “A BREAK FROM THE HORROR TRAGEDY, IF YOU PLEASE” and now I’m recovering with Call the Midwife lol. It’s March now though so I might try to binge the rest before the finale hits…
