Well, in my mind Jon is he/they nonbinary. He's not very public about it due to ~reasons~, but there are a handful of people who know, like Georgie (and Elias, naturally).

re: Jon hc's ... This might actually be considered canon idk, considering details like him exaggerating his accent at uni, but ... I really believe that one of Jon's greatest fears is being perceived as unintelligent. That's why in the beginning of 119 he seemed to be hit so much harder than the others (e.g., Tim still managed to be fueled by purpose, Basira by common sense, etc.) ... I might just be projecting because I am terrified of The Stranger lol

Ooh, I hc that he can see in the dark (the average one, not the Dark™), which is an ability he got as part of the all-seeing gift package after the first attempted Watcher's Crown. I once saw an art of him that depicted him with eyeshine like a cat (don't remember the artist), and the idea never left my head since.

Elias has a sweet tooth, and he'll eat just about anything with sugar in it if he gets his cravings (yeah i might have extrapolated this from that one cake scene). This however doesn't really affect him, cause he only eats like...every once in a while (being not-quite-human has its perks). On that note, I also think he rarely needs sleep as the Eye would prefer its avatars alert/watching as much as possible, BUT when he does he just crashes for at least 14 hours straight.

On the topic of Elias speaking French, I just recently listened to a French song with MAJOR Beholding vibes: Tout était dit by Jean-Jacques Goldman. It's about a man watching a woman in a café, and how he comes to know her deeply just by watching her, without words being necessary. It has a romantic vibe, but it's actually pretty creepy if you think about it, and therefore perfect for JonElias <3 it includes such gems as "your hand reaching for a cigarette was like a confession you made to me without knowing" or "the shape of your lips was like a language, your gaze itself a statement". Whenever I listen to it, my brain plays a whole JE first meeting movie it's SO PERFECT. idk if you speak French but anyway, I really recommend this song
